Put this into a rock stock solo 3dr and I am AMAZED at how well it performed. Before I could even connect Wi-Fi to my phone I had 10 satellites. Within a few minutes I had 21, the most I saw with my stock revision a GPS was 14.
Outstanding job gentleman!

I decided to do a back to back test to see the difference between the two units. I kept the uav in the same spot for both test and didn't move it in anyway. With the stock gps it took 6 minutes to get 9  satellites. When I first installed the new unit it didn't get any satellites at all, so I powered down the uav and and powered up and had 6 satellites in 30 seconds, with 12 in 3 minutes.  These tests were done on the the second floor indoors, the stock gps said I was at 0 feet elevation. This new unit was telling me I was at 18 feet which is correct but didn't think it would show that difference. Flight is a lot more stable hovering in one spot, overall a must have to get the most out of the flight platform.

Unbelievable GPS. I launched my 3dr solo in a terrible area immediately had 12 satellites as I took it higher away from trees Etc.  I had 24 satellites in less than 3 minutes. Crazy.  One happy customer.  Thank you!

Ordered and dispatched in 3 days to U K,well impressed.The field where I got 8 satellites on a clear sunny day with the standard rev a gps green board,I tried exactly the same spot with this u-blox NEO-M8N on my  Solo and on a low cloud/Misty day I got 17 satellites straight away WOW ! I'm really impressed with the mrobotics team EXCELLENT SERVICE,I highly recomend this Solo upgrade,Thanks Bri.

15 Satellites as soon as my controller connected to my 3Dr solo. No waiting at all!  So Awesome!

I waited a moment until the little thing was here, but I also live in Switzerland.
I paid with paypal and could only send money in Fri. That was not easy, but finally it worked. I had to wait a couple of days (14 days) to test because the weather was not good. Built-in, I waited outside with the Drone about 1 1/2 minutes until I found a satellite. And yes, I got a couple more over time. Original 11th with update 17th satelites on a clear night sky. I can only recommend it to those who live in the USA.

I used to get about 11 satellites in 45-60 seconds. Now I get 21 before the controller is done booting up. I also added the 3DR RF absorbing mat at the same time. mRo says to replace the copper shielding with the mat (not add to it) for best results. Thanks mRo!
