Description

[Designed & Assembled in California]

This product has been retired and replaced by the M10038. The desition to take out this product is based on the fact that this unit will underperform in certain noisy environments. Many clients claimed it performs decently on their projects and shared some discomfort which we deeply understand, but mRo wants to offer a device that is robust enough for most applications and provide peace of mind knowing they will work as expected.

The new M10038 uses a tinner PCB, so it has roughly the same weight as this one, the ground plane is bigger which results in better performance and immunity to noise. It also has a better, temperature compensated compass.

NOTE: SD Card adapter on the picture is just for size reference only.
The mRo uGPS weights just 7.7 grams (.27 ounces) and includes a compass and auxiliary I2C port so you can attach other sensors nearby. Miniature size 1.98cm(.783") x 1.98cm(.783") x 1.23cm(.488").

This GPS has great reception despite its size thanks to its multiple constellation capabilities (GPS and GLONASS). The GPS features a built-in LIS3MDL magnetometer (compass). Currently, the LIS3MDL is only supported by PX4 and ArduPlane/ArduCopter with version 3.5.4 and beyond.

For your convenience, we have added an auxiliary I2C port that splits the I2C signal and power coming from the GPS cable, so you can attach more I2C slave devices nearby.

What is included:
-1x mRo uGPS ublox Sam M8Q.
-1x mRo 6-Pins JST-GH to 6-Pins JST-GH - MRC0206
-1x mRo 6-Pins JST-GH to 6 Separate 2.54mm Females - MRC0202 (So you can attach your own racer or any DIY project easily).

5 of 5 Great GPS July 12, 2019
Reviewer: Evan H from Atlanta, GA United States
I recently purchase this GPS. I was able to get it working without the need to switch any lines or baud rates. It functioned as expected! Great work!

4 of 5 Works well, incorrect documentation March 21, 2019
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from CA
I just received my unit (March 2019) and the docs are incorrect as Andrew's review stated: TX and RX are swapped, TX is pin 3 and RX is pin 2. Works well once that is corrected.

4 of 5 Documentation error March 20, 2018
Reviewer: Andrew Dunlop from Australia
Serial Tx outputs from pin 3, not pin 2 as stated in the documentation.  It would also be helpful if the documentation gave the default Baud rate (which is 9600).

5 of 5 Excellent GPS October 12, 2017
Reviewer: Ben from CA, United States
I've been designing UAV autopilots for 10 years, and have used many different GPS receivers over that time.  This is by far the most accurate GPS I've used, and with the fastest response times.  It notices altitude and velocity changes almost immediately. My UAVs work noticeably better using this GPS.  And it's tiny too!
